DAYS JAPAN, in joint sponsorship with Waseda University, will hold a Photojournalism
Festival. With the aim of furthering the development of journalism, this will
be the largest-scale event that DAYS JAPAN has held to date. The DAYS JAPAN Photojournalism
Festival will provide an excellent opportunity for visitors to reflect on the
nature of journalism. DAYS JAPAN cordially invites you to attend.

DAYS JAPAN is now accepting submissions for a slide show entitled“Photos
of Contemporary Japan by Foreign Residents” to be held at the DAYS JAPAN
Photojournalism Festival.
Selected works will be displayed at a Special Slide Show to be held at the Okuma
Memorial Auditorium on the campus of Waseda University. |

Works
Selected photos will portray issues that exist in contemporary Japan.
Applicant requirements
Applicants must be foreign residents of Japan (temporary and long-term visitors,
as well as permanent residents, are
also eligible. Tourists and short-term residents are eligible as well). DAYS
JAPAN maintains a nondiscrimination policy.

All works should be sent on a compact disc (CD). No limits; all standard file
formats will be accepted.
Include a profile of the photographer and a caption (within 200 words) for each
photo (no formatting or page number requirements). Selected works will be awarded
a certificate of honorable mention. Outstanding works will receive remuneration,
and will be published in DAYS JAPAN. |
